5 tablespoons of Soya Sunflower Oil (75 ml)
¾ cup dark textured soy protein (60 g)
2 finely chopped garlic cloves (15 g)
½ finely chopped onion (100 g)
1 teaspoon salt (7 g)
1 teaspoon black peppercorns (0.5 g)
1 cup manioc flour (150 g)
½ tablespoon chopped parsley (8 g)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (2 g)
In a non-stick frying pan, over medium heat, heat the Soya Sunflower Oil. Add the soy protein and fry until it turns color, for about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and onion and sauté for 3 minutes.
Season with salt and black pepper. Add the cassava flour and toast for about 4 minutes. Finish with turmeric and chopped parsley and serve.
Tip: if you want to give the farofa a citrus touch, add 1½ teaspoons of lemon juice (7 ml).
