Dough
1 egg white
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon Soya Soya Oil
1/4 cup wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Soya Soya Oil for frying
Filling
3 dwarf bananas
Covering
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
White sesame to taste for decoration
Following
12 scoops of cream or custard ice cream
Dough: Beat the egg whites until stiff. In a bowl, add the water, cornstarch, Soya Oil, flour, baking powder and salt along with the beaten egg whites. Stir until a dough forms.
Filling: Cut each banana into two pieces. Using a fork, pass each piece through the batter and, in a pan with hot Soya Oil, fry until golden brown. Place the fried bananas on a paper towel to drain off the oil and set aside.
Covering: Place the sugar and water in a frying pan, mix and heat over medium-high heat until the sugar has caramelized. Dip the banana in the caramel and let it cool until the syrup is hard. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with ice cream.
