Ingredients

  • 3 colheres (sopa) of Óleo de Soja Soya (45 ml)
  • 4 dentes de alho laminado (20 g)
  • 1 cebola em cubos (200 g)
  • 2 xícaras (chá) de arroz branco (400 g)
  • ½ colher (sopa) de açafrão da terra (4 g)
  • Sal a gosto
  • Pimenta-do-reino a gosto
  • 4 xícaras (chá) de água quente (1 L)
  • Castanha-de-caju picada (90 g)
  • Damasco picado (45 g)
  • Uvas-passas pretas (45 g)
  • Raspas de uma laranja
  • Sementes de romã
  • Salsinha picada a gosto

Preparation Method

  1. In a pan over low heat, add the Soya Soya Oil and sauté the garlic.
  2. When it starts to brown, add the onion and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the rice and saffron to the pan, season with salt and black pepper and mix well.
  4. Add the hot water and cook until dry.
  5. In a bowl, mix the rice with the cashew nuts, dried fruit, orange zest and pomegranate seeds.
  6. Finish with chopped parsley and serve.

Hints: Add a touch of spiciness by adding 1 chopped chipotle pepper to the sautéed rice.
