1. Put the Delícia Supreme unsalted margarine, sugar, lemon zest and powder into the mixer and beat on medium speed until the ingredients are blended.
2. Switch to maximum speed and beat for about 10 minutes, or until the dough is very creamy.
3. Remove from the mixer, make small balls, flatten them with the help of a fork and decorate the dough by making a checkerboard.
4. Place the buttery pastries on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 to 20 minutes.
5. Remove from the oven, allow to cool well and store in a tightly closed tin or jar.
