Manioc dumplings in banana leaves

Ingredients

  • 1 Colher de sopa de Margarina Primor Todo Dia
  • 1 Folha de bananeira
  • 300 g de mandioca ralada ou batida no liquidificador
  • 1 ovo
  • 1 Colher de sopa de queijo ralado
  • 1 Pitada de sal
  • 6 Colheres de sopa de leite
  • 1 Colher de café de fermento em pó
  • 1/2 Xícara de queijo de coalho picado

Preparation Method

1- Take the banana leaf and cut out 10 16 cm squares. Also make 10 thin strips 5cm wide (to tie up the packets).
2- Quickly rinse them in boiling water and set aside.
3- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients.
4- Place about 1 tablespoon of dough in the center of the banana leaf square and cover with 1 teaspoon of the curd cheese.
5- Fold up the ends and roll up like a cigar. Tie with a string and place on a baking sheet greased with Primor Todo Dia margarine.
6- Bake in a preheated oven at medium temperature for around 35 minutes.
Serve hot on the banana leaf.
